A Journey of Heart and Innovation

As a native Bronxite, my fascination with how outfits express identity led me to the HS of Fashion Industries and then to Parsons School of Design. My passion for footwear and accessories flourished there. Recognizing the lack of diversity in this field, I committed to making a difference. I started teaching fashion and graphic design to middle schoolers in the Bronx, aspiring to inspire and open doors for those who might feel alone in their journey.

My professional experiences at renowned brands like Caleres Inc., Via Spiga, and Nine West, where I worked in design and product development, honed my skills in creating products that resonate with consumers. These roles, coupled with my time at MillerKnoll in retail operations, have given me a 360-degree view of the industry, from design conception to customer satisfaction. This extensive background is the foundation upon which I built Nasir+Idie.

Beyond Threads and Needles

My career path has always been about more than just creating products. It's about shaping experiences and advocating for inclusivity. Co-founding Nasir+Idie was a leap towards realizing this vision – a platform to blend my design expertise with a strong desire to create clothing that comforts, empowers, and includes every child.

Each day is fuelled by the joy of children who find confidence in our clothing and the relief of parents who finally feel understood and represented.
